Fertilizer
Fertilizing is essential to achieve a healthy, green, envy-of-the-neighborhood lawn. During the spring, we apply a 50% slow release fertilizer.
Lime
During spring and fall, home lawns need lime to increase the soil pH. pH deteriorates due to leaching of base nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium from the soil during heavy rainfall. Lawn Guru only uses fast-acting Enhanced Calcitic Lime with 37% calcium to neutralize soil and free up essential nutrients.
Aeration
Deep core aeration in early spring or fall to improve compact soil conditions and to increase water, oxygen and nutrient uptake by the grass roots. We provide a free pH test with every aeration to determine the soil's pH level.
Power raking / dethatching
We power rake in early spring to remove unwanted thatch and moss.
